An opportunity for learners at school, college or sixth form, to find out more about the support universities offer learners with additional needs.
During this day, you can expect:
- To hear about disclosure – how sharing information about your disability can benefit you.
- Interactive sessions – trialling the assistive technology available to you to make study more accessible.
- A campus tour – demonstrating accessibility of the university.
- An in-depth conversation with Student Ambassadors from Aimhigher London partner universities – a lived experience.
- To find out more about the Disabled Students Allowance – how to apply and access additional support when at university.
You are welcome to come on your own or if you’d like, bring a parent, teacher or another friend! School groups are welcome too.
This conference is for learners with:
- Long term physical and mental health conditions.
- Physical and sensory disabilities.
- Neurodivergence eg dyslexia, ADHD, autism.
